In Nigeria more than 270 schoolgirls were taken by extremists, who have threatened to sell the girls into marriage for $12 each.
A global social media campaign, aimed at raising awareness about the kidnapped girls, quickly spread using the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls.
The students at U of M Flint were sponsored by the African Students Association and supported by the Black Students Union and the Flint chapter of the NAACP.
In all about 30 people marched through downtown Flint in support of the girls.
