Carrollton Schools were placed in secure mode Friday morning after administrators received a threat on the High School answering machine.
Superintendent Craig Douglas says a "vulgar and very serious voicemail" was left on the school's machine, issuing threats towards an administrator. School officials and local police looked into the threat, and didn't think it was real, but decided to take precaution anyway. All Carrollton schools were then placed on secure mode, meaning students TM movements were restricted and all doors were locked.
Aside from naming an administrator, the caller TMs complaints didn TMt seem to match any real cases, students, or situations in Carrollton Township. While Douglas doesn TMt wish to speculate, he thinks the threat could have been anything from a drunken call to a mistake. However, he and police are taking the call very seriously and are looking for the person responsible.
Anyone with information on the call is asked to call Carrollton Township Police at 989-754-9244.
