U.S. men's hockey earns quarterfinals spot in Sochi

The U.S. men's hockey team has earned an automatic spot in the quarterfinals at the Sochi Olympics. Phil Kessel led the Americans to a 5-1 win over Slovenia today, becoming the first U.S. player in more than a decade to score three goals in an Olympic game. Goalie Ryan Miller was 17.6 seconds away from a shutout when Slovenia scored.
