Bay County's Veterans Council is honoring those who served with a ceremony this Sunday onboard the U.S.S. Edson.
A traditional ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on the Vietnam-era naval destroyer docked in Essexville.
There's a prayer, a gun salute, color guard and a raising of the American flag.
The highlight? A flyover of Air Force Warthogs to kick things off.
"We're going to have some recruiters and people with uniforms on. It's going to be something special and that's what Veterans Day is. To honor veterans. All veterans," says volunteer John DeWyse.
The council usually conducts its Veterans Day ceremony at the war memorial outside the Bay County building in downtown Bay City.
