Video of the Michigan State Trooper that fell over an overpass while trying to catch a suspect has been released.
On November first at about 11:20 pm the Michigan State Police and other police departments were involved in a high speed chase after trying to pull over a vehicle for defective equipment.
The chase eventually ended on I-675 over Kochville Road, after stop sticks were used.
The suspect got out of the vehicle and climbed over the overpass. The trooper, while attempting to grab the suspect, also went over the edge.
The fall was about 30 feet to pavement below.
Both the suspect and the trooper were taken to and area hospital. According to Mlive the trooper has been released from the hospital and is at home on paid leave.
The suspect, say police, was a 41-year old man from Standish who was on probation for alchohol charges.
