Video shows attempted Saginaw robbery, one suspect still at large

Saginaw police are applauding the efforts of two of their officers and a store clerk who helped stop an attempted armed robber.

Now they're asking the public to help them nab the second suspect.

They released this video of the attempted robbery at Bill's Party Store in the 2400 block of Mackinaw Street near Goetz Street.

It happened shortly before 7 yesterday morning.

The video shows the clerk trying to fight the suspects as they flee the store.

Police say the clerk then tried to chase the men before they jumped a fence. Officers were able to cut one of the men off and arrest him.

The 17-year-old suspect is in the Saginaw County Jail facing several charges.

The second suspect remains at large.

Police say the 18-year-old black male may go by the name of Jaylen and possibly went to Arthur Hill High School.

He was seen wearing a dark-colored Aeropostale hoodie.
