Several communities are still picking up the pieces after a May 28 tornado tore through Genesee County.
Those communities receiving some help this week.
Area businesses, inmates from the Genesee County Jail's work release program and volunteers helped clean up the area.
"We've actually have crews going through the neighborhoods, not just the blight of Saginaw Street that we're trying to clean up for ourselves. They've done at least eight trees off homes and fences already, they're really happy that we're out there helping them," said Mike Besser, owner of Roma's Pizzeria.
The cleanup continues Saturday.
Anyone interested in helping out can meet meet at Anthony's Car Wash along Saginaw Street beginning at 8a.m.
