Volunteers from Target help out at the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan

In Flint a charity event turned into a bit of a pep rally, combining work and fun.

Volunteers from Target invaded the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan at its new building on Lapeer road.

The volunteers moved food for the needy, all for a "Day of Service."

One of the organizers says the volunteers came to Flint from all over the state.

"They came here from all of the Flint-area stores including Fenton, plus as far away at Metro Detroit. About 100 of them all fro the community," said Lamar Carson of Target.

It is one of the largest volunteer efforts of the year for the food bank.
