Warm front brings needed rain

Showers and even a rumble or two of thunder are expected Thursday afternoon.

Considering we only recorded 0.61" of rain for the entire month of September, it's tough to complain about a little rain during the day tomorrow.

The above total is more than 3" below the long-term average for the month, and most of it fell before September 16th.

So it's been awhile since we've had a good soaking, and tomorrow might qualify.

Our more agressive solutions suggest 1/2" or more of rain is possible in the Flint and Tri-Cities areas, with lesser amounts to the north.

A warm front will lift to the north on Thursday night and Friday morning, leaving us with a drier day on Friday.

Although a few sprinkles or a brief passing shower is possible on Friday, the warmth will be the main story as highs are expected to approach 80°.
