High pressure sitting overhead tonight will keep skies clear and winds light, allowing temperatures to drop below zero.
However, this spell of frigid weather will give way to an overall warming trend into next week.
Granted, temperatures will be up and down, but the overall trend will be "up"!
As that cold high shifts east on Wednesday, we'll start to experience a light southerly flow.
That should boost our temperatures into the lower 20s which is still about 10° below average, but warmer than it was today when highs only made it into the middle teens in most spots.
Thursday looks warmer still, but with a chance of snow showers.
