A homeowner has shot and killed a 40-year-old man who allegedly tried to force his way into a house in western Michigan.
Jammie Fialek was shot multiple times about 11:30 p.m. Friday in Moorland Township, northwest of Grand Rapids.
Muskegon County sheriff's Detective Lt. Jim Christiansen tells the Muskegon Chronicle Saturday that Fialek was shot after pounding "on the door very aggressively."
Authorities also said Fialek allegedly assaulted the homeowner several weeks ago.
WOOD-TV reports that the homeowner's wife and two children were home at the time of Friday's shooting.
The shooting is under investigation. The homeowner has not been charged.
