The NWS office in Grand Rapids, MI has issued a Wind Advisory for Gratiot, Isabella, and Clare counties from 8am until 8pm tomorrow.
A strong cold front will make its way across Mid-Michigan early on Friday morning.
Behind this front cold, west-southwest winds could gust over 45 mph and as high as 55 mph.
The strong winds will likely result in power outages, especially since the ground surrounding trees and power lines is so saturated.
In addition travel will be more difficult, especially in high-profile vehicles, and this will complicate our efforts to deal with flooding issues.
The NBC 25 weather team will be watching to see if this advisory is expanded eastward into Genesee County, the Great Lakes Bay region, and the Thumb.
