Wind Chill Advisory issued by the National Weather Service for Mid-Michigan

The advisory begins at 6 this evening and will run through tomorrow at noon.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for the area, including Flint, Saginaw, Bay City, Midland, Owosso and Lapeer.

The advisory begins at 6 this evening and will run through tomorrow at noon.

The expected lows tonight are between -5 and -10 degrees. With winds expected to be between 10 and 15 mph, the wind chill will make the temperatures feel like -17 to -23 degrees.

The NWS warns that exposed skin in these sub-zero temperatures could mean frost bite and prolonged exposure could lead to hypothermia.

Additionally, with so much snow on the ground, and the snow still falling, and increased winds you can expect reduced visibility as well.

If you must be outdoors, be sure to dress warmly complete with hat, coat and gloves.
