Winter Weather Advisory issued by National Weather Service

      Parts of the NBC25 viewing area are under a Winter Weather Advisory tonight into tomorrow morning due to significant snowfall potential.

      The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the southern part of the NBC25 viewing area.

      This includes Shiawassee, Genesee, Lapeer, St. Clair, Livingston, Oakland, and Macomb Counties.

      The Advisory begins at 7 tonight and runs until noon on Wednesday.

      Snow will begin this evening and is expected to peak between 10 pm and 6 am. Snow will be in the 3-to-6 inch range according to the NWS with the heaviest snow potential south of I-69.

      Visibility could be as low as half-a-mile during peak snowfall.
