Woman narrowly escapes kidnapping by jumping out of moving vehicle

A woman narrowly escaped a kidnapping late last night in Baldwin Township, according to the Michigan State Police.
While closing up a business, a man entered and abducted the woman at knife point. The unidentified woman was then forced into a vehicle that then drove off on U.S. 23.
The woman was able to escape by jumping from the moving vehicle. She then flagged down a passing driver.
The victim was taken by the passing driver to Tawas St. Joseph Hospital for multiple injuries.
The Michigan State Police were able to track down a 55-year-old suspect at this home. Troopers took him into custody on charges of kidnapping, criminal sexual conduct, and felonious assault.
The suspect is in the Iosco County Jail awaiting arraignment.
