Young man shot, killed in Saginaw


Police have identified the man killed Saturday in Saginaw as 24-year-old Randell Harris.

Harris was found, shot to death, in the back yard of a home on Court Street.

Saginaw Police and Michigan State Police are still investigating the incident.

Saginaw Police say a man is dead after he was shot in the backyard of a Saginaw home.

Police responded to Court Street near Harry for reports of shots fired at 1:12p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived they found a man in his 20's with a gunshot wound in the backyard of the home.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

While police were investigating, large groups of people began to gather outside the home.

Several fights broke out and police took several people into custody.

The victim's name has not been released at this time.

The shooting death marks the city's 19th homicide.

The Michigan State Police department is assisting Saginaw Police in the investigation.
