Family history writing workshop in Saginaw hopes to help others write their family's story
If you've ever wanted to research your family's history, here's your chance.
The Saginaw Community Writing Center is offering a free writing workshop.
According to a flyer: This free writing workshop is open to middle school, high school, and
adult writers, It will be held at the Butman-Fish Library located at 1716 Hancock Street, Saginaw, MI.
Attendees will learn how to research and write about their family histories with a librarian from the genealogy room at the Hoyt Library.
• Use writing prompts to begin to tell your family's stories
• Learn how to research your family's genealogy
• Start to create the larger narrative of your family's history
This workshop is completely free. There is no need to register in advance.
The event is Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 6 to 7:30 pm.
