Local community center invites public to tailgate for the big U of M vs. State Game
Flint, Mich-- A local community center is inviting you to come out on Saturday for its second annual tailgate party.
The staff at the Unity Center in Flint say their doors will be open from 10 a.m. until midnight for the University of Michigan vs. Michigan State game.
Organizers say the public should bring chairs and everything else will be taken care of. Guests will be treated to food, two big screen televisions, one inside and one outside, and even a bonfire.
There will also be a bounce house for the kids. Organizer say this is a way for people to get familiar with the center and its goal to help the community especially our veterans, seniors and the disabled.
"We offer lots of services. We really want seniors, veterans and the disabled to have a place where they can go to socialize and receive any medical attention. We want this to become a staple in our community and this is a way for people to come out and learn about what we do while having a great time," said Co-founder of the Unity Center Laura Svinarich.
The tailgate party will be located at 5350 N. Genesee Rd. for more info you can click here.
