A judge has temporarily blocked all recall efforts against Rep. Paul Scott.

The Associated Press reports Judge Clinton Canaday III followed an earlier decision from the Michigan Court of Appeals that keeps the recall of the November ballot.

The group spear-heading the recall against Rep. Scott, Citizens Against Government Overreach, previously told NBC25 that his actions backing education cuts and pensions taxes were the main reason they wanted him out office.

The republican from Grand Blanc told NBC25 Thursday in Lansing that he hopes this lastest decision will put an end to the effort.

"A lot of tough decisions have to be made. It's not easy. We have a job that we have to do. Hopefully now will be the time to scale back the rhetoric and focus on good public policy," saud Rep. Scott
