Dr. Mona featured as 'hometown hero' on 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire'

Dr. Mona Hanna Attisha was on the game show ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ as part of ‘hometown heroes week’.

Dr. Mona is well known as the whistleblower for the flint water crisis.

Locally, her fans gathered at Blackstone's in Flint to cheer on their hometown hero.

When the doctor was asked what her winnings would go towards, she said all the money would go to be donated to a flint child health and development fund.

“It’s our ‘tomorrow fund’ for Flint kids to ensure that they remain healthy and strong so funding programming such as literacy programs, nutrition services, everything to mitigate the impact of this crisis to make sure or kids have the brightest future,” said the doctor.

She walked away with $5,000 for the Flint Child Health and Development Fund.
