      Reporters ask the darndest things

Giants Devin Thomas answers reporters questions at Media Day Tuesday.

The Super Bowl is the biggest sporting event in the world, but what we found out at Media Day on Tuesday, is the questions sometimes have little to do with football.

Forget the kids, at the Super Bowl Media Day, reporters sometimes, ask the darndest things.

" How good do I think I am?" Patriots Wide Receiver Julian Edelman said. "I don't know; I'm not a talent scout."

" I don't know all those actors are too good looking to play me," Giants Quarterback Eli Manning answered a reporter who asked him 'who would play him in a movie.'

The players do their part in taking it all in stride.

"The team that plays the best football will win on Sunday; it's usually what happens," Manning answered in gest to another reporter.

"Do you see yourself as the modern day Jim Thorpe?" NBC 25 asked Edelman. "NO," was his quick answer.

With 3,000 media credentialed from around the world, some things are bound to get lost in translation.

"Yea man, I can't understand what you're saying," Giants wide receiver Mario Manningham said to an international reporter.
