Schweigert expands Impact Training

Stuart Schweigert, Founder of Impact Training, takes a deep breath after a busy week of getting the facility functional.

Stuart Schweigert has done it all.

From high school star to professional athlete, and now he wants help Mid-Michigan student-athletes achieve the same.

This afternoon in Freeland, Schweigert announced the expansion of Impact Training.

The group just opened up a state-of-the-art facility at the Freeland SportsZone where athletes of all ages can come to train and make themselves better at a particular sport, or just get in better shape.

Schweigert, a Hertiage-Grad and a former Detroit Lions defensive back, even got a little choked up during the press-conference, because he believes this venture will not only help the athletes, but the community as well.

"I get emotional, because I have a lot of pride for this area. I'm raising my family here," says Schweigert. "I love the people here, I love the kids, the community, and I'm 100% invested here. I want to make this area the best area to live in the state, in the country."
