Shields declares herself the "GWOAT"
On Friday at the MGM Grand Detroit, Flint-native Claressa Shields further solidified her prominence in women's boxing. In a decisive defeat, Shields beat defending-champ Nikki Adler in five rounds by TKO.
Directly after winning her first world title, she named herself, the "GWOAT" which means the greatest woman of all time. Shields is now 4-0 professionally after dethroning the previously 16-0 Adler.
Shield plans to take a small break from training, but made it very clear that she is willing and ready for her next professional opponent.
