An explosive matchup ahead between Flint Metro League Rivals

Fenton has won six in a row since losing their first game of the season to Linden, winning all but one game by at least two possessions and scoring 34 points in each of those contests.

The Fenton football team believes their showdown with Swartz Creek will go down to the wire - the victorious team being the one that can make the biggest play.

The Tigers (6-1, 5-1 in Flint Metro League) take on the 7-0 Dragons in NBC25's Game of the Week on Friday, October 12.

Fenton has won six in a row since losing their first game of the season to Linden, winning all but one game by at least two possessions and scoring 34 points in each of those contests.

Against Swartz Creek's explosive offense, Fenton WR Mitchell Shegos thinks this game could potentially see a lot of fireworks.

"It's gonna be whatever defense steps up and makes the stops," Shegos said. "Both offenses are really good, both defenses are really good - it's just gonna be whomever makes the bigger play."

Fenton has won every game against Swartz Creek since 2007. Friday's kickoff is in Fenton at 7:00.
