      The Bearcats credited their defense on the victory, specifically their work on Eagles?? guard Kent Redford.

      In a low scoring contest, Flint Carman-Ainsworth (3-5, 1-0 in Big Nine) notched its first conference win of the season, beating Flushing (1-7, 0-1 in Big Nine) 42-32.

      Also in the Big Nine, Davison (4-5, 1-0 in Big Nine) defeated Powers Catholic (3-5, 0-1 in Big Nine) 41-34.

      In Carrollton, the Cavaliers (5-2, 3-1 in TVC) beat St. Charles (0-6, 0-5 in TVC) 76-45.
