FNF Week 11: Linden falls in 6th overtime, Beecher wins first-ever district title

Fenton lost to Walled Lake Western Friday night at home, 49-27.

Linden was looking for their second district title Friday, but they'd have to go through visiting Dewitt first.

The Panthers struck first on a trick play that almost went awry, Ryan Anderson threw the ball as he was falling to a wide-open Christopher Ruby for the touchdown.

Linden responded with a Shaye Brown pass to Patrick Ryan who crossed the goal line for the six points. With the extra point, the game was tied.

Linden added ten more points to go into the half leading 17-7.

The Panthers scored ten points of their own in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime.

Six overtimes later... the Panthers scored on a Ryan Anderson reception, the PAT was good.

Linden scored on a Mitch Juhl 4-yard run, but the kick was blocked, and Dewitt was victorious.

Linden's Shaye Brown ended the night 27-44, 279 yards with two touchdowns. Mitch Juhl had 24 carriers, 163 yards and four touchdowns.

Fenton fell to Walled Lake Western 49-27.

The Tigers were tied with the Warriors 7-7 early on, but allowed the Warriors to score five unanswered touchdowns in the first half.

Harbor Beach ended New Lothrop's season, winning 56-20.

Beecher won its first-ever district title, beating Hamady 42-7.
