Linden Coach Denny Hopkins made his way into the record books Friday night as he got his 100th career victory.
His Eagles defeated the Fenton Tigers for the 11th time in 12 years, 17-15.
Linden was up by a point at the half, they would go up 17-9 in the fourth quarter and stop Fenton on a two-point conversion play in the fourth to seal the victory.
In Burton, Atherton and Bendle did battle Friday night.
Atherton was down 7-0 in the 2nd quarter, as Bendle's Dion Reed thought he had a touchdown, but Joseph Curran knocked it out of his hands and it was recovered by the Wolverines.
Reed would get another shot as he scored two touchdowns and finished the day with 173 yards on 19 carries.
Bendle comes out on top 45-8.
In Grand Blanc, Olympian Geena Gall started things off with the coin toss.
Carman Ainsworth drew first blood, Demarion Allen scored from 23 yards out to make 6-0. The extra point was no good. He would score their second TD as well... from 71 yards out.
Grand Blanc's Alex Spangler scored on a kick-off return, but the Cavaliers spoil Grand Blanc's home opener to win 20-6.
