Second annual Flint Area All Star Football will be special on and off the field

The second annual Flint Area All Star High School Football Game will kick things off at 7 p.m. on June 10th at Davison's Cardinal Stadium, but preparations are already underway.

On Tuesday, coaches from schools around Genesee County drafted their teams, The Rise vs The Grind. Athletes were nominated from schools around the county to be eligible.

Last year's successful inaugural All-Star game benefited the Brandon Carr Foundation, and this year, fundraising will go towards Mission 22, an organization focused on raising awareness and ending veteran suicide. Leading up to the game, Genesee County schools will compete to raise the most funds towards the organization, with more fundraising going on during play as well.

Check back for rosters this week.
