Watch: Girls take next step towards the Breslin in Regional Semifinals


After winning District Titles Friday night, Mid-Michigan girls basketball teams took another step towards the Breslin Center on Tuesday night in the State Regional Semifinals.

In Class A, Lapeer battled Flushing for three quarters neck and neck, but the Raiders were too good in the fourth, winning 60-39. Flushing takes on Dow, who beat Marquette 59-36, on Thursday in the Regional Finals. That game is at 6:30 p.m. at Mt Pleasant High School.
Fenton took down Rochester Adams 53-48, they'll play Macomb Dakota on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Port Huron Northern High.

In Class B, Ithaca and Swan Valley battled until the end, with the Yellow Jackets outlasting the Vikings 50-46. On the other side of the bracket, Freeland was all over Corunna 62-36. Ithaca takes on Freeland in the Final on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Frankenmuth High School. Goodrich beat Marine City 56-45, they'll play Detroit Country Day on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Yale High School.

In Class C, unbeaten Sandusky improved their record to 24-0, beating Brown City 49-34. The Redskins will take on Hamady, who beat Harbor Beach 57-43 behind Deajah Cofield's 32 points. That game is on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Hamady High School. Hemlock beat Shelby 70-45, and will play Leroy Pine River in the Final on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Beal City High School.

In Class D, Deckerville beat Burton Genesee Christian 51-23, and MLS beat Portland St. Patrick 44-39. The two will meet in the Final at Merrill High School at 7 p.m. Mt Pleasant Sacred Heart dominated Wyoming Tri-Unity Christian 52-29. They'll play Fruitport Calvary Christian Thursday at 6 p.m. at Marion High School. Morrice saw their season come to an end at the hands of Pittsford, falling 62-24.
