National Weather Service confirms tornado in Tuscola County
Kingston, Mich. —
The National Weather Service's storm survey team says a tornado touched down in Tuscola county near Kingston on Thursday evening.
The preliminary damage survey ranked the tornado as a weak EF-0 with peak winds of 75 mph.
According to the survey, the tornado was on the ground for 3 miles between 8:10 pm and 8:17 pm.
The most significant damage observed was removal of roofing material, along with minor tree and crop damage.
The path of the twister started at Clothier Road between Denhoff and Brief roads and continued to the intersection of Marton Road (Tuscola/Sanilac county line) and Sanilac Road (M46).
