Bruno Mars donates playground, basketball courts to the kids of Flint

Community Foundation of Greater Flint says thank you to Bruno Mars for his generous contribution to the playground project.

Music superstar Bruno Mars donated money to the MSU-Hurley Children’s Hospital Pediatric Public Health Initiative to help fund NBC 25 and FOX 66's Playground Project. The money he donated went towards a playground build, plus new tennis and basketball courts.

This past summer, with the help of other community organizations such as the Community Foundation of Greater Flint and the United Way of Genesee County, six new playgrounds were built.

Isaiah Oliver, CEO and President of Community Foundation of Greater Flint was thrilled about Bruno Mars' generosity to the city of Flint. "We are excited about Bruno's continued support for Flint that we decided to take it upon ourselves to make a thank you video," said Oliver. "The organization wanted to thank him for his support for the Pediatric Public Health Initiative, The Flint Registry, and his commitment to help decrease the effects of lead exposure in children."
