Final days to apply for Christmas help from Salvation Army are here
Families living in Genesee County and looking for help with toys and food this Christmas have just a couple of weeks left to apply for assistance with the Salvation Army.
In order to sign up for assistance, the Salvation Army requires that you have some type of Michigan ID and Social Security cards for all adults living in the home. You must also bring proof of dependents in the home, such as birth certificates and social security cards. Also bring bills from the last 30 days to prove your residence, such as rent, mortgage, or water, gas and electric bills. Finally, they also want proof of income for the last 30 days, which means pay stubs, child support statements or any other documents related to pay.
Signups for the help will all be in the city of Flint.
The next signup is on November 6 at the Flint Beecher Corps, located on 1475 W. Coldwater Road, Flint.
The final signup days are at the Flint Citadel Corp at 211 W. Kearsley Street in Flint on November 13 and 14.
