Dance activism the focus of Flint’s Day of Global Water Dances
In Flint, people are joined one another for an international day of dancing.
The day of Global Water Dances aimed to take on water issues through dance activism.
Activities included a flash mob, free dance performances and a parade.
“We're using dance, and everyone has movements in their own way, and we use that as a vocabulary to explore the idea of what water means to us,” said Karen Mills Jennings of Flint School of Performing Arts.
Flint is one of more than 95 cities to join in the Day of Global Water Dances.
