Davison woman stabbed, killed by boyfriend in Detroit
DETROIT, Mich. --A Davison woman is dead after being stabbed multiple times in a MGM Grand Hotel room.
The stabbing took place just before 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Deputies were called to the hotel because her boyfriend, Daniel Michalak, 33, of Saint Clair Shores, was acting hysterical.
They then checked a hotel room, where they found 27-year-old Tia Vellucci’s body with multiple stab wounds.
Michalak is charged with assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to maim and assault with intent to do great bodily harm, according to court documents.
He was arraigned Friday and is being held at the Wayne County Jail on $1 million bail.
