Family, friends pack Lapeer funeral home to remember toddler shot in Flint
LAPEER, Mich. --A little boy from Flint is being laid to rest following a brutal murder in the city.
A memorial service took place in Lapeer Sunday night for three-year-old Landon, who was shot Friday, October 13.
His family says Landon was full of energy and his death was senseless.
The shooting happened last weekend in the area of Dort Highway and Carpenter Road.
Landon was sitting in his car seat next to his twin sister when his mom says the suspect fired a bullet through the window hitting Landon in the head.
Landon's mom says she rushed the little boy to the hospital, but he died the next day.
His stepdad says the suspect is a man he had previous problems with.
A Flint man, Veondra Bartee is facing murder charges in connection to the boy’s death.
