Flint City Council approves Detroit water funding

Flint votes to fund return to Detroit water system

Reporter Kyle Mitchell tells us Flint City council just approved a resolution for $2 million in funding to switch back to Detroit water. It was a unanimous eight to nothing vote.

It was last week when Governor Rick Snyder said the city would be going back to Flint water. Under the governor's plan the state would be paying $6 million towards the switch.

The transitional advisory board and the state treasury will have to sign off on this in order for the order to be processed.
