FLINT, Mich. – Today people across Flint came together to celebrate fall.

The Flint Urban Safety Corps hosted their 3rd Annual Harvest Fest Saturday afternoon.

Dozens came to University Square for pumpkin painting, music, free food and much more.

An event organizer says the event is all about helping neighbors get to know each other.

"It's an important event to us because we focus on community engagement and this is a way to get lots of kids out during this time of year, put on an event similar to a trunk or treat, but they get to wonder up and down here in the University Square. We're getting to paint pumpkins, we have free apples, free cider and doughnuts,” said Lisa Treece of Flint Urban Safety Core.
