FLINT, Mich. – Flint Police said they have several people in custody in connection to the shooting death of a 7-year-old girl during a Friday press conference.
Police are still investigating the deadly shooting Tuesday involving Zaniyah Burns.
She was pronounced dead Tuesday night.
Police only answered general questions during the conference.
Flint Police Chief Timothy Johnson said, “There is no such thing as a snitch. We don’t have snitches, we have concerned citizens.”
They also credit the ongoing investigation going thus far from people calling and providing police tips.
Later Friday evening, the community remembered Zaniyah with a candlelight vigil in Flint.
