Former Spartan Basketball star brings anti-bullying message to Owosso students
OWOSSO, Mich. - Anthony lanni is the first known person with autism to play college basketball,
The former Spartan made a stop in Owosso to talk about what it's like to be bullied.
This is part of his relentless tour where he's trying to visit as many Michiagn schools as possible.
He went to three elementary schools in Owosso, to share his own stories in hopes of stopping kids from bullying.
“It's on us as a society to set that example for these young kids to show that: "Hey, this is not what we are about, and this is what we are really about and this is the right thing and right way to do it,” said Ianni.
Ianni truly defied all odds.
After being told he couldn't he played in two Big Ten Championships and a Final Four.
And graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in sociology.
