SAGINAW, Mich. - Pizza helping to bring people together, that's exactly what happened in Saginaw Sunday.

The community and local law enforcement were together to bond all while enjoying a free meal.

The "Feed the City" was hosted by Bridge the Gap and G's Pizza.

The event featured activities for the whole family to enjoy, prizes, and of course free pizza.

Bridge the Gap aims to bring together the community and those who protect and serve it.

"It's very important to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community. All of these gentlemen and ladies here are law enforcement officers, and they all know the importance on their half to build positive relationships, and I think it's important for us to teach our youth and our community how important it is to also bridge the gap and build positive relationships with our law enforcement,” said Bride the Gap board member Ayiteh Sowah.

Bridge the Gap's next event is their community basketball tournament on September 30th at Saginaw Valley State University.
