SAGINAW, Mich.- The General Motors Foundation donated $20,000 to four nonprofit organizations in the Saginaw Community Tuesday.

This is through the Community Grant Program.

The grants were presented to the Saginaw YWCA, First Ward Community Center, Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance STEM Impact Initiative and United Way of Saginaw County.

"We're so appreciative of the strong community ties we have here, especially from a business right in our own backyard. So to have general motors supporting us means a great deal for our program and we're really thankful for that support," said Kayla Petz of the United Way.

This year, the GM Foundation will provide more than $2 million in funding in 45 manufacturing cities where GM employees live and work.
