Homemade dinner, desserts a sweet treat at annual scholarship fundraiser
FLINT, Mich. --Spaghetti, sweets and soul were all blended together on Sunday in Flint.
It was all part of Charity United Methodist Church’s annual benefit dinner.
The funds raised go towards the Wanda Dover Educational Scholarship.
Dozens of community members bought plates of home cooked dinners and desserts.
The sweets were the main attraction--everything from cobblers to red velvet cake.
Last year they gave three students $500 scholarships.
