Hurley unveils new private rooms for pediatric patients
FLINT, Mich. – Hurley Medical Center is celebrating a big expansion to its pediatric unit.
The new 11th floor unit has new 14 private rooms.
Thursday morning the hospital held a ribbon cutting with one of their former patients, Easton.
And he also had the chance to tour a room named after him.
But beyond the rooms, they did some other things on this floor, to make the kids feel more comfortable.
"The expansion allowed us to do rooms like this another game room and play room across the hall its allows us in general to update the facilities with private bathrooms and rooms,” said Hurley Foundation president Mike Burnett.
The two-year project was funded by donations through the Hurley Foundation.
