Krzysiak's House Restaurant celebrates Fat Tuesday for good cause

Bay City, Mich.-- Another Fat Tuesday celebration is in the books for Krzysiak's House Restaurant in Bay City.

Today hundreds flocked to buy paczki's, dance and listen to a polka band.

Doors opened at 5 a.m. on February 13, 2018 and the restaurant stayed full all day.

Some of the proceeds went to the Salvation Army.

Major Rick Ray says this celebration gave everyone an excuse to forget about their waistline, and enjoy the Fat Tuesday staple for a good cause.

“It seems like you can never get enough of them they fill you up you don't want to think about the calories for the day and just know everyone you eat you're supporting a cause,” he said.

The Salvation Army plans to use money from the event to support their local programs.
