Michigan State Police announced Thursday the arrest of 18-year-old Jonathan Murray-Eichler of Dryden Township.

He was arraigned in Lapeer County District Court on Wednesday on four counts of possessing child sexually abusive material.

Police say the evidence was seized from his home after it was discovered Murray-Eichler was uploading the material to the internet.

The investigation into Murray-Eichler’s activity was undertaken by MSP’s Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

MSP encourages parents to speak to their children about safe internet use and provided a link with a list of resources to help do so.
