Man behind Flint mayoral recall announces his run for the job
FLINT, Mich —
Arthur Woodson, the man behind the Flint mayor recall has annouced a bid for her seat.
Woodson says he's running because he wants to be the mayor for the people.
The top issues he says he'll push include fixing the blight, public and police safety and economic development.
Woodson says he decided to throw in his name because he didn't see other people stepping up.
A total of 18 people have filed for candidacy. Candidates were required to pay $100 or get 40 valid signatures from Flint voters.
The names will be confirmed by the Flint city clerk's office.
