Man facing charges after leading police on high-speed chase in Tuscola County
TUSCOLA COUNTY, Mich. -- A man was taken to jail and now faces multiple charges after leading police on a high-speed chase in Tuscola County.
While deputies were patrolling M-24 early Saturday morning, they observed a driver driving 71 miles per hour just south of Caro.
Deputies tried to stop he driver, but then he driver quickly turned west on Bliss Road.
By that point, the man was driving about 98 miles per hour.
The driver then turned south on Bruisee Road, running the stop sign located there.
After that, the driver crashed into a ditch just north of M-46, and then got out of the car and ran.
He led police on a short foot chase, but was then caught, taken to the hospital and then to jail.
The driver is charged with operating while intoxicated, fleeing and eluding police officers as well as obstructing and resisting arrest.
