Meetings held for friends and family members of opioid addicts

BAY CITY, Mich. - In the wake of the opioid crisis here at home, there's now a place where people can get emotional help

It's called a Nar-Anon meeting, it's a national support group for family and friends of drug users.

There's a meeting almost everyday throughout Mid-Michigan

The meetings run similar to narcotics anonymous.

One organizer we spoke to says she started the group in Bay City to offer the same support she received at a Nar-Anon meeting for help with her son, who’s been an addict for three years.

Nar-Anon Meetings are held:

Sundays: 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd. Saginaw, MI 48609

Mondays: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2206 Airfield Lane, Midland, MI 48642

Tuesdays: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Bay Valley Christian Church, 2535 Wilder Rd. Bay City, MI 48706

Wednesdays: 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss St. Saginaw, MI 48602
