Midland County residents react to spring storm conditions

The spring storm causing a messy day for Midland County residents

The messy April storm causing lots of issues from flooding to bad roads and downed power lines and trees but first responders and Midland county residents say they're weathering the storm.

"It's not spring, this is worse than December, it feels like Christmas all over again," says resident Anna Korumi

Korumi says she's over this winter weather. She had to make the drive from Bay City to Midland Sunday afternoon and she says it took a lot longer than usual.

Joshua Henson says for him and his family, power was the issue.

"Its crazy here, yesterday I was out of power for probably 11 hours or something like that, woke up and it was off," says Henson

Sunday more than 1400 Midland county residents were without power.

Jerome Township Deputy fire chief Wayne McNett and he says the storm has been keeping local first responders busy, but he applauds residents for listening to the warnings and staying off the roads.
