It’s winter in Michigan, are you ready to brave the snow?

If not, you’d better get ready.

While some can expect to only see about an inch of snow, areas like Genesee, Lapeer, Shiawassee and Tuscola counties may get between one to three inches.

Our neighbors in southern counties such as Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw and Wayne will see more than that.

The Michigan State Police are advising people to put a winter car kit together in case you get stranded or break down.

They add that it’s a good idea to have items stored away at home just in case you lose power.

At least 72 hours of supplies is suggested to keep on hand.
